Small-diameter magnetic and metallic nanowire arrays grown in anodic porous alumina templates anodized in selenic acid

Despite the introduction of selenic acid for anodic porous alumina (APA) preparation with small nanopore diameters (< 20 nm), no attempt has been made to use it in fabrication small-diameter magnetic and metallic nanowire arrays. In this paper, considering high cost acid, attempted initially oxalic an ordered pattern first anodization step then employ second by matching appropriate voltage. By investigating formation both acids, was shown that nanopores formed had considerably smaller diameter (13 nm) than (35 nm). Under optimized conditions electrodeposition, various metals were grown APA templates order fabricate nanowires diameters. The pore-filling percentage crystalline properties also investigated.
